Tin Aung Win is a capacity building professional with over 30 years’ experience of working in international development, with specific expertise in gender, health, economic empowerment, governance, environment and climate change, and REDD+. He worked with a range of organizations including UNDP, CARE, Burnet, and civil society organizations. He has been serving as a technical consultant for Community Development and Civic Empowerment Program, Chiang Mai University, Chiang Mai Thailand since 2009. Thematic areas of expertise include GBV, women’s political participation and empowerment, SRH, women’s economic rights, CEDAW, PLA, gender and HIV, gender action research, gender and media, masculinity, facilitation, gender mainstreaming, development of guidance notes and toolkits for gender integration, strategic planning and development, social mobilization, and sexuality and counseling. He holds a Bachelor of Veterinary Science from Institute of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science (Insein) Myanmar. He obtained a post grade diploma in Food and Technology from Yangon Institute of Technology, and a certificate in Qualitative Research Methodology from Yangon University Psychology Department.
